Passenger door electrical not working and car not fully locking (with beep confirm)

The other day my passenger door window just stopped working out of nowhere, and now I cant lock that door and no lights come on. It is essentially just a dead door, when I go to lock the car with my remote I used to get a beep confirmation telling me that everything was locked but that no longer happens as the front right passenger door is no longer working at all. I dont know if it loose linkage inside the door or what? Just looking for some insight from anyone else who has ran into a similar problem?

Can you control the window of that door? if not, mostly it's just the door harness broken at the hinge point. The efficient way to fix that is buy a good quality used door harness, replace your old one. FIXED.
(OR, you can disconnect the door harness, and solder the broken harness if you want to save 30 bucks :) )

Here is how to remove the door harness

I'm having a similar problem now too, sometimes when door is shut there will be no lights on the switches and the windows will not work, also the red warning light on the door will flash. When I open the door the lights will work and so will windows. Pretty positive it's a broken wire in the loom. Worst part is sometimes when I close the door when car is off, the interior lights will stay on.

That video makes it look easy enough to swap the harness instead of repair the wire.

Our B6 A4s have a history of breaking the wires at the door jamb boot. Peal the rubber boot back and check the wires inside the boot for breaks. A broken wire often is not visually broken, the conductor wire strands inside the insulation breaks, but the insulation does not, so a break in the wire is not obvious.
