Bad issue with Unitronic Stage 1+

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hello everyone
First apologize for my bad English (I'm from Spain)
I explain my problem to see if someone has passed him.
I have an Audi S3 have a 8v with 8000km (6300km when installed the Stage 1+). The car has always worked with 98 octane petrol.
I bought Unitronic 1+ stage through a distributor in Saudi Arabia, since in Spain there are not Unitronic dealer.
After a problem with the cable, after 2 weeks John solved, I installed the Stage 1+.
From the first day I noticed the car pulls like stock, I decided to wait a few kilometers to see if the ecu has an adjustment.
After 1 week, I made some logs the car (i don’t know many parameters) had in 4th gear and see 790 kg / h - 220 g / s, search for internet it was little, I asked John and dealer for the correct blocks to log. He said he would send me a template with the logs they were.

I received the file and when I loaded it, I saw no use for the car. (I put photo).
In the end I decided to put the car on a dyno, this is the result:
The dyno shows me what i feel about the car... i don't feel the 79hp+ what anounced unitronic in his web.
in 2000-5000 the car doesn't feel the more power and 5000-6500rpm the car not pulls nothing.....
The thechnician of the dyno says if the temp was low at 20°c the car pulls +20cv.... total 330cv.

    The resulst are:
    265 whp@5400rpm
    312 hp@5400rpm
    443 nm@3400rpm

    John email:
I don't have any reason to believe that our performance software is not working OK. Our Authorized Dealer that you purchased the cable from can assist you on this, if you'd like somebody to confirm.
John@Unitronic and dealer not assist me.

    results:

    - 930$ (stage 1+ uniconnect cable)
    - 200$ dyno
    - +700km of test
    - lossen time
    - A car with 300hp (stock 300hp)

    Thank you very much

You lose 15-20% HP in drivetrain loss on the dyno. So, the stock 300 = about 240-250 whp. So, probably gained about 50 HP to the wheels.

Looks like the dyno he had his car on shows 265 whp, so a gain of 15 whp? Dyno's are so variable, but I think with a stage 1.5 the gains should be a lot higher than that. Also, the OP isn't feeling anything on the butt dyno which is unusual. Honestly, it doesn't sound like his car was successfully tuned.

only real way to see the hp/tq gains, is if you did a dyno while stock and then another dyno (on the same dyno) after the new software was installed. does your car exceed the factory redline limit?

I read that wrong. I thought the 312 number was his whp.

My car felt significantly faster with a JB1 piggyback and also much faster when I upgraded to APR stage 2.

    Stock car made: 259whp

    JB1: 292whp
    APR stage 2: 314whp

All tuned runs were at 40C temps.

Tune back to stock and dyno to get an answer

As podido hablar directamente con Unitronics ?

    Hello
I have spoken and they have told me to do some logs with the parameters they say.

I'd appreciate if you could make logs to compare with yours.

    Thank you very much

    This is rare.

It is as if the flash was not active.

My cable is on the way, but mounted on the carriage and a friend with stage 1.5 and the difference to the power of factory is bestial. It is very noticeable and immediately after the flash.

It felt just as fast as my car with 98oc APR for high torque.

I'll do some logs to see how they compare with yours.

As able to speak directly with Unitronics?

I'm sorry to hear of the situation that you're encountering. I've been working with the Authorized Dealer from Bahrain that you purchased our Performance Software/cable from, but it seems that some of the information (preselection files, etc.) that were sent to you were for another ECU ID/type, which resulted in the incorrect channels to be logged. We've corresponded with the Authorized Dealer and provided channel information to him, but I've sent you an email directly, so you have this data as well now. I'd be happy to assist you, to ensure your complete satisfaction, however, please ensure that we have data needed to help most effectively, as quickly as possible to ensure an expedited resolution.

Sorry for the Spanish replies guys.

From the log I just did before flashing my car, it seems that his car and mine are boosting around the same number.

2.5 bar and 2.6 bar on measuring block G077.

My car was stock for the logs and being flashed Uni stage 1.5+ as I type.

I tried logging the same blocks, but for some reason they don't look the same.
