I run 2 Zeitronix multi gauges and really like them. Contact jibberjive on here and he can give you a good deal on zeithronix items. The black bezel with red lighting matches the interior very nicely.

Do you really rock that bezel? You need to grab some project sheets of plastic and make yourself a bezel

What is that?? thats not a STE PPD is it?

Also I use a Nexus tablet to run and app called Torque. It can pull just about everything you can get from the sensors including timing, temps, MAF, Load, RPMs, fuel trims, knock, and a lot more.

Someone needs to bring up that gauge pod that was on here earlier this week. The one that comes off of the small defroster vent.

they were just 3d printed. You could make your own for essentially free if you know someone with a 3d printer and are willing to tweak this file to your liking:

As for the multiguage I have been working on an arduino driven display that would fit in a dash vent, but just haven't had as much freetime lately to work on the coding for it. If I ever get my head out of my butt and get somewhere with it, i'll post it up.

    b-b-b-baller!!!! lol

A+ for ingenuity. My first column pod was made out of PVC pipe for the housing, and was attached to the column by being bolted inside the tube and hung at about the 10 o'clock position. It was purdy-snazy and I rocked the $h!t out of it back in the day when I had a B5A4 lol Second was a piece of plexiglass I cut to fit the shape of the driver side vent, drilled a hole in it, painted it black, and that too what ghetto-fabulous at its best, made all the women's panties drop for sure....

STE PPD plugs in and displays where your radio RBDS would display. This one is made by Zada tech. He's got like 15 sensors you can add on

3d printers are fairly cheap really. Of course you can always spend more than necessary. Really been looking into them myself.

I like the zada tech system. Been looking into them for a while now, handsomely priced and very oem-like

Yeah I downloaded some software to try it out and I am lucky if I can get the screen to move let alone add an object lol.

I really like the zeitronix zt2 lcd. Can have afr, boost, etc going all into 1 ecu and then to 1 unit that you can either mount or hide. I'm not a big fan of any sort of gauges so it's nice to be able to tuck the lcd away.

Even the Printrbot is a good entry level printer. Its about as simple as they come, the early version I had was assembled out of laser cut wood and zipties, but surprisingly put out nice pieces. It was a good tool to try getting into it see of you like it or not without dropping a lot of cash. I am sure there are better entry level options now, but 3 years ago or so that was a good compromise.

As for software, 123Design is free to use, and has LOTS of tutorials on Youtube, which helps making getting into it even easier. Once you get used to thinking a few steps ahead when designing, it gets pretty easy. For example, here is the first mockup for the multigauage housing to fit in a center vent spot i mentioned earlier (its since gone through several major revisions to make it one printable piece and more aesthetically pleasing). Took less than an hour to model, and I am by no means an expert or even "good" lol:

As far as hobbies go, 3d Printing is a fun one. It has the reward of seeing your imagination come to life literally before your eyes. I would strongly recommend it. Besides, we could certainly use a few more B5S4 specific designs freely floating around out there!!!

3d printers are a ton of fun if you are the tinkering diy type.

This is prob the best $250 I have ever spent. Well, thats just the entry fee I guess. I goes up quick after you get one.

    Oh ya, gauges.

I run a ppd for daily, and dell venue 8 (me7logger, visual logger, vcds) if I need to see more.
There is an o.ct led boost gauge in the tach, but the 4bar throws it off.
And I still want an analog, so much easier to see a sweeping needle out of the corner of your eye.

So true. It is hard to see numbers while you're blasting it.

You could probably program a tiny arduino board to put inline with your O.C.T. signal. So it reads the 4 bar input, and outputs the correct signal to correspond with the visual LEDs correctly.

Could not agree more with the analog comment. Thats the same reason why I chose the AEM anaolog wideband gauge, as it was the only analog option for that at the time. Its much easier IMO to "understand" what is happening quickly when you have some extra visual references.

I went off the grid for almost a year mucking with that arduino based 3d printer.
Youd prob never hear from me again if I had to figure out how to write that from scratch

Some day I would like to learn about that stuff and maybe a little can to use one of these though.
    https://www.ghielectronics.com/catalog/product/540

If I get bored, I may put 25psi to the sensor and turn the cal screw until just before the red leds come on.
I never really see it anyway, but would be a quick visual indicator that it is above 25.

Yep, I went with the Podi analog AFR and innovate LC2 for that reason.

Heres my current setup, Podi AFR on the left, AWE boost gauge on the right, and my Nexus 7 to run Torque pro (main screen has RPM, Boost, Load, IAT, Water temp, GPS speed, and MAF). I have a few other pages setup with fueling info, timing, and a few other things. Eventually I'm going to install it in place of the double din and run just the Nexus.
