    DTM Front

    Hello everyone,

I recently installed a DTM rear end on my car, and I'm now looking for a front end to match.

I would prefer a Brilliant Red one, but of course I will work with whatever is on the table. I would also prefer a complete setup including the grilles and inserts, but again, not picky. Will pay to have shipped to CT if not local(ish--I'm willing to drive a few hrs)

Let me know what you guys got!

Avus silver won't match quartz gray. It's close but willbe noticeable. I have the 2 tiny grilles available from my old bumper if you need them.

I threw an Avus trunk lid on my car with a DTM spoiler and I'm really having a tough time telling them apart. Now the bumper would probably be more drastic I would think, but the trunk lid I have installed is close enough that I would be willing to at least try it on and see how it matches. If I still had to get it repainted, well I'd be no worse off than if I bought one in any other color to begin with! That's my logic at least

I'll definitely let you know if I need those grilles. I already got a PM from someone selling the whole setup minus the lip spoiler (do you still have an extra one?), so if I buy from him I won't need them, but it's definitely not set in stone yet.

If i were you I look into buying it new. When i was looking for one used people were selling them for about 900-1k with repainting needing.

So i decided to buy new instead from ecs lol.

I've looked at that, and it's definitely a good price but the shipping cost kills it for me. I had an offer for one locally with all extras minus the spoiler for $450 picked up. I haven't heard back from him in a bit though. I know that deal is on the good side, but I'd much rather find something that's either local or comes with the grilles for the time being. I appreciate the input guys and I'm definitely still considering it!

That's awesome! I might have to jump on that. If I select each of the 4 grill pieces and the bumper the total comes to $721.26. But they have a complete kit listed and that goes for $859.75. Anyone know what the difference is about? It also seems that shipping is free over $150. Edit: exclusions apply. Shipping was an additional $300. :(

Bumpers are excluded from the free shipping. And i believe the kit they have takes the original price for the bumper into account, not the sale price

If the sale price is lower than the full kit, than go with that. Freight shipping was about 100$ when i ordered mine. Just add both of them to the cart and see which is best price

Have you checked the parts dept at the dealer? You don't have to pay shipping that way.

I have not. I'm going to need to work overtime just hearing the quote they're going to give me!! I should look into that option though, maybe it won't cost as much as I think it will

I think list price is ~$600 so it may be cheaper than ECS with shipping.

So if I add all five pieces to my cart the total is over $1000 because shipping is around $300. I noticed that if you add just the 4 trim pieces to the cart shipping is free. And if you add just the bumper shipping was only $180. Once I add one of the small grills, shipping increased $180. Wtf? So if anyone is thinking about buying it apparently make two separate transactions. You will save Money. Doing it that way would cost $942. Instead of $1083. Saves $140

If you do go the new route like I did. I waited a while for the grill trim pieces and ended up cancelling that and ordering it on eBay. Also the bumper didn't come with the washer headlight sprayer covers so I ordered those off eBay separately. and theres an eBay seller that sells a replica carbon fiber lip thats around $350 shipped. Oh, and then I had to buy special clips to hold the grill pieces in place. They are called garnish clips on Amazon. Good luck. The lip also did not come with hardware to install. Yea, it took a while to get everything in place.

My suggestion is to buy an oem lip thats in rough shape and refinish it like I did. My oem lip is flat black now and looks great on the car and it won't turn yellow.

I highly doubt I'll be getting one new unless ECS does another fire sale, but I appreciate the advice in case I do

I may do this. Gloss black would work well with my theme. Definitely better than purchasing one new

I have a used oem lip that I'd sell. It's in rough shape and I don't have the time to refinish it anymore.

Fyi, they are expensive to ship because of the size/shape. Greyhound shipping would be super reasonable though. I had a DTM front bumper shipped from Oregon to Connecticut for under $100 a couple years ago.

Yeah I had the DTM rear shipped from Washington through Greyhound for a little more than 100 IIRC. Not a dealbreaker but not cheap either
