Just finished up another case and figured I'd post some pics...it's only cleaned with compressed air so far so it's still a bit dirty.

Thanks Kris! Yea it's most definitely a lot of work, but should pick up significant improvements in airflow and lower IAT's. Let me know if you want your new car's throttle body ported and I'll hook you up.

Well done. I like your work . However, given the efficiency and such of the TVS blowers, I doubt there will be significant gains (maybe losses in TQ) but you will definitely lower those IATs.

This would help us higher pulley ratio guys, the IAT delta is eye-opening to say the least...

Could you extrude hone one or would that not work because it would impact where the rotors contact the housing?

Looks great. Any chance that upgraded rotors could be installed once ported? Also, do you port match the throttle body?

That is an interesting question. I wonder what kind of effect they would have and how much they'd cost if it were possible?

Yea it most certainly will lower iats which is great for anyone over a 3:1 pulley ratio, but thats is honestly where I think the ported blower will show the most improvement.

From what i know about it, extrude honing only polishes the surface, it doesn't port it. Thanks!

Thanks brotha! No you wouldn't upgrade or change to larger rotors because you're not enlarging the area that houses the rotors themselves...only the rest of the blower case.

Quote Originally Posted by EHesh14 View Post

Yea I still haven't had a chance to finish a case for myself or dyno test one since they're customers parts. I've also been extremely busy and this is something I do on the side so it takes a back seat to my real job and family life.

Theses are the most efficient rotors Eaton has to offer, so other than size, there wouldn't be any way to make an improvement imo.

Here's a few pics of my ported throttle body bolted up to the blower case...it's pretty close to perfectly matched aside from the actual throttle body gasket which has a tiny ridge, but it's barely noticeable even by feel.

No I haven't had a chance to do another blower for myself since I've been crazy busy. The guy who bought the one pictured is going to do some before/after dyno and iat testing. I'm trying to get one done for my car soon so we can do back to back unported vs ported dyno testing. We all agree that it will lower Iats, but the whp increase is hard to say...I would guess 20-25 whp gain on a dual pulley car with a 3:1 or above ratio.

Looks like quite a bit of work...

Perhaps port the heads and find a way to flow more CFM through the intake valve flaps?

    It is lol.
I was thinking about porting the heads as my next mod after the blower is done, but I would source that out to a well known company who specializes in cnc port work and bench flow testing.

    You mean APR?

Great job on the porting man. I'll probably be interested if the data shows good results.

Close on the abreaviation, but no it's Afr out of Southern California...they do a lot of shit for the gm crowd and are know for their excellent work. Don't know if they'll play with Audi heads, but I'll talk with them soon and find out.

    Thanks brotha!

I'm trying to get one done for my car soon so we can do back to back unported vs ported dyno testing. We all agree that it will lower Iats, but the whp increase is hard to say...I would guess 20-25 whp gain on a dual pulley car with a 3:1 or above ratio.

That's a pretty outlandish claim without any data shown yet.

I don't see any claims, just guesses which is why he's going to do a few dyno runs to GET data.

Read things throughly before responding and you would have known that was a guess, but either way a 5% gain in power isn't that bizarre.
