    So I installed a test pipe 3 weeks ago. Was curious if I need to do a retune now? One of my buddies told me I should.

    It's a stage 1 tune from vagautowerks. It was tuned when I had my cat on.

    Although it is a LOT more flow going from stock cat to test pipe (it was stock, right? Not a HFC?), the tune can adjust for the additional flow.. It's only when you do more mods like upgraded HPFP you will want to get a new tune to take advantage of the extra fuel available, etc.

    this, the ECU can handle it.

    I run my ''stage 2 ready'' for a while just before I flash the ECU. I was on stock tune.
    0 issue.
