    How to adjust rear coilovers

So i got my coils installed and the right side is sitting a tad bit higher than the left and i want to fix it. My friend came over and we jacked the car up and he insisted that to change the ride height we adjust the shock height, so we did that but when we dropped the car is stood the same. Are you meant to adjust the spring to change the ride height? what have i done now that i have changed the shock height? i dont have much knowledge on suspension so this can get abit confusing

You cannot adjust the ride height from the shock absorber, you may have adjusted the damping rate? What suspension kit is fitted?
Height adjustment is made at the spring and probably the upper Spring seat, to reduce the height, you will need to wind the right upper rear Spring seat upwards towards the car.

I'm not sure what I adjusted , i just turned the shock body and it went up, , what's the difference between damping rate and stiffness
Which you turn the clicks on the shock? They are bc racing coilovers

DC racing usually have a threaded shock absorber but adjusting the length of the shocker will do nothing for ride height, it will just reduce the travel you have on the shocker.
The spring bares the weight of the car so the height adjustment must be made at the spring. I suggest putting the shocker back to how it was or match it to the other side then adjust the spring.

Actually, thinking about the DC coilovers, the eye end of the dampers unscrew on these, you didn't undo the end of the shocker where it mounts to the suspension arm did you?

No I didn't undo anything , I just twisted the shock and it moved, ok so what does it mean if one side is lower now? I might just take it to a shop and let them do it haha, btw they are bc not dc

    Good

So you just need to wind the spring to match the shocker now. If the sock absorber was shortened by 1/2 in, do the same for the spring.

BC, D2, Apexi, all use the same components I believe.
