Water pump drive shaft spring?

It's been so long since I took this thing apart I can't remember if the drive shaft for the water pump has a spring, like the oil pump drive shaft does. The parts diagrams don't appear to show one for the water pump but does anyone know (and if so, what the part # is)

No it does not. I had to pull mine last month when replaced AC compressor and it does not have a spring. I actually bought a water pump and housing from ebay for $80 just to have around.
