    HELP! Massive coolant leak

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Was just driving along last night when I suddenly lost ALL of my coolant in about a half mile of driving. Got under the car and flushed some water through. It looks like a busted seal, but to what? Please watch the video and let me know what y'all think!

that "bushing" is the snub mount. there isn't a seal on it. I would start by pulling the front end off. You'll actually be able to see everything and it isn't hard at all. Then you can try to find the leak. my guess is a radiator hose blew? there's a lot that could have let go up there tho. definitely pull the front lock carrier off. Look up motor pull diy and follow that till you get it off if you are unfamiliar with pulling it. Good luck!

^^ That would be my 1st guess also.
There are only 2 things needed to make an Audi work properly - Duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should - WD40.

What they said, almost positive it's the thermostat housing. This is the time to make sure you install a metal housing, also if you haven't done the timing belt I'd recommend doing all related timing belt components now while you're in there.

    HELP! Massive coolant leak

Water pumps can leak out like that. You can take off you timing covers to see if it's wet in there. If it is, then that's probably the problem. Then the front comes off.
