112 octane, anyone used it in our cars?

My buddy has some leaded 112, and I am wondering if i mixed it in with some 93 if I would have any issues running it.

The Camaro didn't like running it and his oil temps started to climb with it.

I was leaning on the same thing, but there is always someone with more knowledge on any given subject than me, so always worth asking.

I wouldn't bother if you still have your cats in. But a couple gallons will be fine if you don't have access to any other gas. Do you know what brand it is? Are you sure it's 112 motor octane?

Fwiw, I have used about 6 gallons of 104 octane leaded turbo blue in my car on apr's 104 map. I do not have cats. My car ran really well on that gas. This motor really loves octane.

That said, look into FUSE racing fuels. Super high quality and they make an unleaded 110 octane that a lot of guys around my area use. I'm actually picking some of that stuff up tomorrow to prep for my next track outing. Does not lose stability when exposed to light either. Hopefully a shop around you carries it.

Running test pipes and let me know how the FUSE works, I might have to snag some.

I think I will just stay with my blend until i can get a custom file from SMS for 109. Don't want any issues with the 1/2 mile stuff this weekend!

Torco & VP both have 108/109 octane unleaded fuels. No need to go to 112 leaded, not sure there is any advantage that far over a 104 tune.

Was on tatapalk so didn't see mod list. You'll be fine on test pipes but yes I'm not sure how SMS maps work. APR and GIAC tunes can run high octane just fine.

Will definitely report back on that fuel though. Hoping to make some 1/4 mile passes this wed on it.

if my ECU has a standard APR programming, how much faster would an S5 really be in a 1/4 mile run on 100+ octane?

what octane tune do you have? Did you get a fully loaded tune package? Like I have stock, 91, 93 and 104 tunes in mine.
If you have a 93 tune and run 100 you might get a bit more hp, depending on the conditions but its not going to be huge.

You don't have program switching so unless you get the 100 map put on your car, it's not going to do that much for you. You'll probably hit APR's ignition targets for the 93 map if conditions are good with the 100 octane gas. Should run a strong time just not nearly as fast as an APR car on the 100 map, as that map makes more timing than the pump file.

OP, waiting on new plugs before I test the 110 gas...
