Job Description:
The Automotive Tuner or Automotive Tuner Apprentice is responsible for helping customers select components for their custom performance projects and interacting with distributors of our software and products. Candidate will become familiar with the products sold and recommended by Motoza Performance and gain the ability to give meaningful technical advice to customers customizing their performance vehicles. He/she will be trained to review data logs taken by customers and will recognize if the vehicle is performing as expected and help to troubleshoot issues as they arise. ECU tuning will be taught to the right candidate who is able to become adept at recognizing patterns in data and translating those findings to real world performance of the customer’s vehicle. Candidate will also be responsible for interfacing with customers about their project as well as scheduling of projects and a small amount of inventory management. Thorough training provided for the right candidate who is passionate about performance cars and engine management.

Required qualifications:
  • Automotive enthusiast
  • Computer skills, including experience using Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving and pattern recognition skills
  • Self-motivated individual able to complete tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Able to break down large, complex problems into manageable tasks
  • Creativity in solving complex problems using innovative approaches
  • Ability to effectively communicate and document complex, technical findings
  • Mechanically inclined and familiar with the fundamentals of engine operation
  • Self motivated with a strong desire to learn.


Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiar with components and inner-workings of turbocharged, fuel-injected vehicles.
  • Familiarity with VAG platform vehicles.
  • Experience with automobile engine operation and control, dyno tuning.
  • Knowledge of communications protocols – CAN-bus, RS-232, etc.
  • Skilled at data analysis and pattern recognition.
  • Familiarity with engine tuning.
  • Customer service/tech support experience.


Compensation depends on applicable experience and hours.
