Brake Bleed: Anyone use the Motive Pressure Bleeder and VCDS for the ABS system?

Just installed a Stoptech BBK kit and did the first brake bleed using the motive bleeder. Pedal seemed a little soft and required several pumps to get it up to pressure. I assume there is still some air in the system due to the new calipers and lines being installed. Some have stated that bleeding the ABS pump on the second bleed is the way to go. I have the VCDS Hex Net but have not found clear instructions anywhere on the codes to use etc. Anyone found it necessary to bleed the abs system as well and if so what codes did you use?

Used the the motiv bleeder to bleed my stoptechs worked pretty good, but still pumped the brake pedal after bleeding the majority of air bubbles out. I think the brake pedal method is the best way and I never thought of bleeding the abs. Brake pedal is great

With the Motive Bleeder, I think if you go to 15-20 psi, it should be enough to open the ABS valves. However, I've bled my cars all the ways, and honestly, I prefer to the two-person method. Yeah, it sucks if you're out by yourself (then go Motive), but I never got better pedal feel otherwise.

Code-wise, there is no code. I have Hex-CAN USB and if you go to the ABS Module and select output tests, you can actuate the ABS that way.

Motive bleeder can force air bubbles into the fluid itself. You sometimes have to let the fluid rest and bleed again. Recommend the pedal method on the second go round.
