EFKs are factory on the US A6 C5 4.2's. I know because mine failed recently and had to be replaced :)

Sort of true. Yes there are two efks on a stock c5 for the aux fan and for the ac fan. If you are refering to an efk, then i assume you want to replace your viscous belt driven with an efk?

If so you have two options from my previous research. Replace the viscous fan clutch with the rs6 equivalent pulley. Or replace the snub mount brackets from a d3 platform with respective pulleys. Google the serp belt layouts of a c5 rs6 and d3 a8.
