Any Easier/Safer Ways to Jack up Vehicle to Curb Weight Height?

After installing my suspension components I found it quite difficult placing a hydraulic jack under the rotor (with lug nuts securing) to lift the wheel to curb weight height in order to torque suspension bolts that are securing the rubber bushings. Besides using hubstands which are meant more for racing applications & alignment specialists, I was wondering if anyone else has any other tricks up their sleeve for a safer/faster job.

You could put the jack under the lower control arm
