    a4 b8 avant - hotchkis f/r sway bars question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
i am getting ready to order these bars soon and i was told to also do all around end links, i am thinking of eurocode adjustable front end links and i'm not sure what to get for the rears since i haven't found a pair that are adjustable? I've hear that the non adjustable eurocode ones will make a shit load of noise is this true?

anyone have these none adjustable eurocode ones? do you recommend them?

    thanks

This is a great idea to do end links while doing sway bars.

034 Motor Sport makes a good set of links as well to check out!

I have not heard any issues with with squeaking while using these end links. We also carry that sway bar set when the time comes just let us know!

    Thanks,

Anyone rocking the rear eurocode or 034 links that could give a review?

I have the F & R EC sways and end links on mine. But I've only had them for about 300 miles. No noise at all & the handling is absolutely fantastic.
    Thanks,\

I have the 034 rears on the stock bars and it all but eliminated the understeer that was present stock, well worth the money. If you do upgraded bars the rear would definitely be needed, if you have the metal front end links not so much.

I went with moog endlinks with the EC sways. No noise and solid as can be. Way cheaper too.

You don't need end links, the difference will be so minute, the real noticeable change will come from the bars themselves.

^^^ Sorry, but that's totally incorrect. The stock end links are a terribly weak link in the suspension. Plastic pieces that are meant to prevent the weight of a vehicle from pitching/yawing. You add new higher performance sways and they will most certainly fail. The moog pieces are a great non-adjustable replacement as they are at least a well built metal piece.
    Thanks,\
    Ed

So Audi doesn't know what they are doing when they install plastic swaybar end links on every A4/5/6/7/8 with a sport package that has larger diameter swaybar then the comfort suspension? Or the fact that every S/RS4/5/6/7/8 has plastic end links? Mine must be the best plastic ones ever, 60k miles with Eibach swaybars and no issues. Metal ones are a good comfort buy but not a requirement.

Although the stock swaybar links are plastic, the certainly aren't made of silly-putty, they are plenty stiff. I have the front and rear Eurcode bars on my S4, both set to full-stiff, with the stock plastic endlinks....no problems after about 20,000 miles so-far. The improvement in roll-control if you swap to the metal endlink types (no rubber bushings) will be minor, not worth the crazy cost and eventual wear-out of the metal endlinks. If you feel the need for "better" endlinks, get the metal Moog ones, with the polyureathane bushings.

I certainly wasn't trying to stir up a beehive here, but I have seen several of the o.e. plastic endlinks fail at the track and end a driver's day in a horrible way. Daily street driven on some curvy back roads may never fail, but bring them to a track and lets see if they hold up for a full weekend.
    Thanks,\
    Ed

I have EC's front/rear sways and adjustable arms as well. Having performed the install myself, I used lithium grease to lube the bushings and have yet to hear any noises from them. Having an allroad as a DD, I can tell you, it's a front end hog and has a tremendous amount of understeer; go into a corner hot and you can be guaranteed that you'll never get out. Having upgraded from the OEM bars to the ECs, the understeer I had is all but gone. This weekend, I drove a privately owned road call Maryhill Loops. The allroad performed flawlessly. I could dive into a turn, crank the front end and KNOW with conviction, the back end would come around without any hint of understeer. Now at low speeds, anything less than spirited driving, you are not going to notice much difference.
