My car has just made is past the 100,000 mile mark what should I do/expect?

Purchased the Car in February from a local dealership with 91,xxx miles. I have since got a APR Stage 1 tune, K&N CAI, changed the oil twice with Mobil-1 Full synthetic and a Napa gold filter, and changed the Spark plugs with NGK plugs. Don't know much more then that the car was California and may have had two owners. The only problems that I have had have been with my rear drives side lock. Any other things that I should be taking care of? Thanks in advance!

Kidding. It'll be fine. But you'll want to get your timing chain tensioner done ASAP (there's a thread on it if you look around) and probably a carbon cleaning also at that mileage.

I just spit my coffee at the screen.............

Yeah I would say do the timing chain ASAP with all components to be on the safe side and maybe some new coilpacks, I would also change the transmission filter and differential fluid, flush the brakes lines/change the fluid.

Have the rear main seal inspected. Put money aside for wheel bearings and control arm bushings. Find out how old the turbo is. Your car is still under the injector 120k warranty so find out if those were ever checked at the last intake manifold replacement. Plan for an intake manifold replacement. Chain tensioner for sure. This is all stuff likely to be needed over the next 50k.

What are signs of the injectors and manifold going bad?

Manifold failure will yield a code and a CEL most of the time. Injectors can be tested via leak down. Basically if your manifold fails within the next 15k, have the dealer test your injectors while they're accessible.

Do you really want to know?... I passed 100K about 2K miles ago. Since passing 100K here is what's happened to me:

    Intake Manifold Replacement
Turbo Wastegate loose (needs new turbo)
    Evap Purge Valve blew
New coil packs (R8 packs, got mine on sale for like $15-20/piece).

Keep in mind this is just parts that required replacement to keep the car running properly, not parts I "should" replace.

Had the car since 45K miles and here is everything I've done up until the recent repairs:

Stage 1 and 2 oil consumption (including piston replacement)
Replaced turbo at 60K and it's going out again
Replaced power steering hose for low speed shudder
Replaced headlight bulbs due to one blowing
Replaced passenger side door lock (see you already have that issue)
Car still vibrates at hwy speed and I'm assuming control arms after taking it in multiple times during warranty period, but now don't want to pay to replace

Now keep in mind mine is an '09 (first year of b8 model) and I have hit pretty much every widespread issue with this car, so consider this an almost complete list of things that can go wrong in addition to previously mentioned items (especially timing chain tensioner). I was fortunate enough to have most covered under CPO warranty, but the last repairs I did have not been. I have come to the conclusion to cut my losses and sell the car before I run into a situation like Project Quattro has illustrated above. Who knows, it could be a great car now that I've replaced pretty much every known issue, but I don't want to stick around and find out, and neither does my bank account...

Did you replace the power steering hose yourself? and where is it located?

5,000 miles a month? Are you delivering mail with that thing?

I am at 111,000 miles today and have had no major issues. Replaced the front wheel bearings around 60K and the shocks/struts at 100K. Nothing else has failed, and after having the rear main seal replaced when an upgraded clutch was installed, I am using very little oil.

Replaced the timing chain tensioner myself earlier this year.

Damn, man. Where are you driving to? I live in West LA and to get to Riverside and back is only 150 miles round trip.

I would be weary of your stock catalytic converter if you still have it. My buddy who works at a shop has seen mutiple b8's around 100-120k miles have catalyst material start to degrade, which causes the cat to clog itself and EGT's to skyrocket which causes a whole host of issues, none if which you want any part of.
