Have a 01 s4 for a few years. Bought a arp stage 1 computer when I got the car. Installed it and ran it. Now I'm gonna be changing stuff and I thought when I bought it the guy said there's different octane levels you can run it at? Is that true and if so how do you change it? I looked on there site and really didn't see anything on there that said that.

Also had a problem with the cars alarm going off random. I pulled the battery and seemed to fix the problem. What the hell made it freak out like that. It would lock the doors automatically sometimes.

Lastly how do I program the keys without the vagcom. My fobs are good along with the battery's in this but they don't work?

    Thanks for the info.

Many apr tunes are switchable with the cruise control buttons.
Careful though, if it has the security thing you will need the code. If you cant get the code, apr will happily get it for you for a $150 licensing fee.

You can search here on how to program keys.
Basically, one goes in the ign and turned on, other goes in the closed driver door and you push a button while holding it turned.
1 key is easy, 2 keys is much more fun to get straight
There are only 2 things needed to make an Audi work properly - Duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should - WD40.

my guess with the alarm is either the motion detectors in the car or a stuck/ sticking door sensor. Mine randomly went off a couple times last year and I noticed when I would hit the lock button on my fob I wouldn't get the horn chirp. So I went around the car and opened and closed all the doors and trunk and hood a couple times and it did the trick. I think it was the hood sensor in my case. Keys are super easy to program as long as you have 2.

2nd the above posts, motion detectors/prox sensors is my guess (Pretty sure the toggle switch by the driver's seat, on the B-pillar). Also I think the car comes default with locking the doors after 15-20 minutes, can probably change that with vagcom.

I've got the computer code so I'm not worried about that.

The door thing is seems like it did it after we had a big rain around here. Car wasn't flooded but do you think it could do something with the bcm. Like today I start the car and 3 windows rolled down. And another time as soon as I got into the car and shut the door the doors locked automatically. Maybe leaning towards something with the drivers door since the lock button and the window buttons are on that door.
