New to me B6 S4, few questions

Coming from a B6 A4, this S4 is pretty sweet so far, even if it does need work.

Car's temperature gauge never moved on the test drive, and it had a pretty bad vibration that i could feel through the clutch pedal and i'm 90% sure coming from somewhere in the bellhousing. after it got towed home I set it up and started the job of pulling the transmission figuring the temp sensor was bad and i could replace it when the trans was out. after getting the passenger axle and heatshield out, I saw it looks like a mouse or something got to the wiring for the temp sensor.

Is there anywhere I can buy a new pigtail for this? Google is letting me down.

    the connector in question:

    Thanks,
    Ben

If you look closely, there will be part number stamped on the housing of the connector. If it's a 6 pin connector, there's a good chance it's this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/262533028565
It looks like you have enough slack in the harness to just cut off the chewed ends, crimp the new pins, and insert them in the housing. Easy fix.

Thanks for the quick reply, i'll have to get a closer look at the PN once the transmission is out.

Wow. That's unfortunate. Does the crack look like it could compromise the structural integrity or just superficial?

I can see the crack on the inside of the bellhousing where the pressure plate contacted the bellhousing. I'm dropping it off at a local welder's place today after work.

Good luck, it seems like a little hot work will have the crack filled in just fine. I bought my S4 with a bad clutch as well. Went with the JHM stage 4 and am very pleased with the quality and performance. Man what i would give for a lift :) Nice shop!
