Edit: solution/tsb found see (current) last post with pictures of tsb info so that if there is anyone else whom needs this done you have the # but I'm assuming mine had it happen simply because it hadn't been driven enough before the warranty was up whereas most other a4's if not all have already been reprogrammed. This is only if you ARE STOCK NEVER TUNED if you tuned and it happened, well that's your fault
Here's a link from apr's website which has the tsb release from AoA which is long winded, my pictures down below are short and sweet

Hey there guys, so I'm on vacation currently and not having owned my new to me A4 long enough to trust it I likely brought along my Ross-Tech cable and found something that is bothering me a bit. So here's how it came on
Wife and I had some down pouring this morning and were driving for probably 45 minutes in there, and there were some rather large puddles (unsure if it caused it but probably related) so we made a stop somewhere and I left my phone charger plugged in and possibly my satellite radio ( I use an external one for better features) and we were stopped for maybe 30-40 minutes, got back in and while we were driving short distance the EPC light came on.. Awesome news for a vacation lol. So we stopped again came back out, was still on (didn't expect it to go off) and the check engine light came on but car was running fine, so I didn't worry too much about it. Get back to the hotel and find this

So I do a google search which I found near no info on this but ross tech has a wiki page on it that says this
16985/P0601/001537 - Internal Control Module: Memory Check Sum Error
Possible Symptoms
MIL illuminated
Possible Causes
Engine Control Unit (ECU) defective
Flash ROM (used in aftermarket "chips") defective
Low Voltage
Possible Solutions
Replace ECU
Contact aftermarket chiptuner for repair of their chip
Check and test Battery and Charging system

Which then gets me very worried that my ECU just randomly shit the bed on me... So I reset the code and start the car again, logged block 004 for battery voltage and its reading fine (I'm assuming the battery voltage it reads is actually alternator output) it was around 13.5V the whole time, well at least at idle (I did a graph instead of log and was watching while driving so couldn't see exactly where it was at) saw no spikes or drops anywhere in it will I was messing throughout the whole rpm range so I pull into a parking lot, shut the car off turn on again, EPC lights back. Says this

So I clear the code, shut the car off turn it back on, no light. Shut it off turn it back on, light on, clear code try again and the light is back on immediately, do this like three more times and light is on every time now immediately (before it took two starts) Last code log is this

So what I noticed is that the voltage dropped each time I started (obviously) and the first code was under 12V, so I go look at the battery (since I just got the car) and I found the date code I couldn't find when I bought it, July 2010.... Car has 41k on it 2005.5, and is bare stock other than a symphony II+ radio and a K&N air filter, no tunes and it was owned by an old couple so I HIGHLY doubt they tuned it..
Does this point to the battery being toasted to anyone else and should I start there before worrying about finding a new ECU?
What voltage should I be seeing on block 004 to verify the alternator is working correctly?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks...
PS, probably gonna head over to walmart and find a battery :/
