I've searched the forum and found that in most cases people's CCM fries or burns out from water or after installing lights or speakers or doing some kind of electrical work/mods.
I haven't done anything with my car that includes electronics in over 4 months. The last thing i did was install an AUX port, which was during the spring. Over the last month or so, my dome lights and trunk light stopped working completely whether its using the on/off switch or opening/closing the door. I do have LED's installed(over a year ago) for all the interior lights, the ones under the dash and under the rear seats work just fine. I checked the Central Convenience Module fuse and its fine. I did not get water inside the car at any point, carpet is not wet, module did not have any moisture. Are these known to go bad after some time?
I scanned the car with Vag-Com, and got the following:

I did take out the CCM module to inspect it, don't see anything physically burned or fried on it, but port #1 (the largest one) does have a electric burn smell to it, as well as the relay or whatever thats behind it.
My heart sank when i looked online at how much these cost, $500+, wth. If these are known to go bad, probably wouldn't make sense to buy a used one?
