Means the oil level sensor itself is busted, I believe

    Yellow oil sensor light?

Oh, the sensor is on the bottom of the oil pan. You should see it when you're under the car. When you change your oil next you can install a new sensor. I think there's a 1.8t DIY on here and it's pretty similar

Since you didn't say which engine you have, I am going to assume you have a 2.0t, item #27.

Thanks that's perfect. Yeah I guess I shouldn't assume that people will assume 2.0T.

Check the connector to being location it can get kinda dirty and caked with whatever gets splashed up from the road. i have doubts but broken wire or something stranger might have messed the sensor.

Check to make sure the wire is not cut or the sensor isn't loose. I busted mine up once and now it's glued in place to prevent it from coming loose again.

    Yellow oil sensor light?

Could be fog lights? Or maybe power steering?

For future reference one of them is the engine mount, ac compressor and the other is oil engine sensor.

    Same light just came on.
It came on last year and I replaced the sensor, not sure why it's on again.
Short period for a failed sensor.

Did you use an OEM sensor, or one of fleabay? I made the mistake and bought a part off fleabay and it failed in 12 hours, went with an OEM part and have not had a problem.
