    Eurocode Stage 4 clutch

I'm selling a (basically) brand new Stage 4 6-puck Eurocode Clutch. There are 0 miles on it, but it was mounted onto my trans/engine. No throwout bearing/pilot bearing included as I used those for my car. Read story below.

Since I would like full disclosure, here is the story behind it. I bought it with an EC flywheel to replace my slipping stock clutch. The shop put it in, but the car would NOT start. The slave rod wouldn't reach the clutch fork inside the trans, so they told me my brand new EC clutch might be defective. I ordered a Southbend Stage 2 Drag clutch from them, and they had the exact same issue: the slave rod would not reach the clutch fork, and the car would NOT start. Well after paying for labor several times, and almost a month later, turns out that the clutch forks on B8 and B8.5 are different. I had ordered a B8.5 somehow. The shop admitted that the clutch is probably fine given that the SB had the exact same issue, and they even cut me a deal on labor.

Throw me an offer. Worst I can say is no.

so what are you going to do now? Change platforms or manufacture a slave rod that will reach the clutch fork?

My car runs fine now. The issue was the clutch fork, I ordered the wrong one. I really do wish I got to install this clutch, I feel a little better knowing both my flywheel and clutch are the same brand, but the SB 2 drag is fine.

I was going to private message you but since this issue is so prevelant now and you seem to have discovered a difference in the clutch fork of the b8 vs b8.5, can I ask . . . where did you find your upgraded or different sized clutch fork?

I replaced everything while in the trans (pilot bearing, flywheel needle bearing, clutch release fork, release arm, release pin, pivot ball). The part I ordered was #0B1141719K and that did NOT work for my 2010 S4. The shop ultimately went to Audi where they determined that was the WRONG clutch fork for my year, and is apparently a B8.5 fork. This is why the EC clutch and SB clutch didn't start the car, the fork sat too far inward for the slave cylinder rod to reach. They actually blew out the rod trying to start the car with the SB clutch before they dug deeper and found it was the fork. There is no part number written on my receipt, but they had to buy a whole new clutch fork and pivot ball to go with the fork, and they said they could only get it through Audi.

Definitely stainless steel clutch line. But throw out bearing, clutch fork, I would do the Slave cylinder just because I'm overly cautious. I've heard that to do the rear main seal the trans has to be off, I would do that too and honestly wish I had. If you plan on doing test pipes or high flow cats now would be the time as its 100000x easier with trans off.

Good to know. I do have the stainless steel line already. Now the laundry list continues! I'm overly cautious with the HF cats as I've read horror stories with the O2 sensors not properly aligned and causes more headaches than good.
