Service Interval Question - RS 7

Hi all - I bought a CPO '14 RS 7 a few months ago with 5,700 miles. Now I am up to 8,600 miles and the car is telling me that an oil change and service inspection is due in "5,000 miles / 5 days." It has been telling me that every time I turn on the car. When I bought the car, I got them to throw AudiCare in so I thought my first inspection and oil change would be due at 15,000 miles. Can I safely ignore the 5 day warning or do I need to take it to the dealer? Thanks!

It may be due to how long it has been since your last service. Maybe you could have your dealer reset it, since you only purchased the car a few months ago (it probably should have been reset before you took possession).

First service is at 5k - each service after that is at 10k intervals OR 1 year. You are likely pinging the 1-year interval. Audi's website suggests you might be able to ignore it, but you might want to get the oil changed in the interim.

Audi Warranty and Maintenance Booklet included with the vehicle suggests that services be performed every 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever occurs first.

Do you drive 1000miles/day? Someone else will chime in but I'm pretty sure the "5 day" thing is because your last recorded service was Sept 14th 2015.

You're likely coming up on 1 year since the last service interval. As you've got Audicare, probably want to schedule an oil change and that should do it.
