    Wheel refinishing prices

So I had my car serviced recently and after a few weeks after I got it back..I noticed a small dent on my wheels. It was on one of the spokes. I have a feeling it happened at the dealership but of course there is no way for me to prove that. So they gave me a quote from their detailing guy and said they can get me the discounted rate. It's only on one wheel and they quoted me $150. Is that cheap for refinishing the surface to remove dent and paint it matte black?

The dent silver that it stood out like a sore thumb against the matte black so I just painted the dent with a black acrylic paint pen I had lying around. Can't even see the dent anymore I have to feel for it. But honestly $150 doesn't seem too bad.. but I'll wait for your guy's opinion.

seems expensive TBH, but every place is going to be different. However depending on the damage and what they would need to do to fix it that could be a fair price.... i dunno, im just basing it off the fact that most places charge around $50-60 a wheel to strip/powdercoat with some minor curb rash fixing

I was quoted about $125/wheel to have my peelers refinished. I think $150, includes repainting, is a fair price.

I was quoted $110 per wheel for clean up (no refinishing needed) and powdercoating on my peelers. $150 on a single wheel seems fair.

My .02 - You can probably find a better and cheaper place with you own research. FWIW - I curbed my 3 piece DPE rims creating a 1.5" blemish. The lips were gloss black so it was very noticeable. I just hit it with a sharpie and some black nail polish, looked great to me.

I was having a hard time just finding someone to repaint mine. Finally found someone locally. Said I could drop off the wheel. BUT the reason I wanted it repainted mis that when I previously repainted the wheel after some curb rash. The color didn't match. I used EinsZett Silber and it is lighter the OEM peelers. Have used Wurth in the past and that didn't match any better. Still waiting for their repair guy to call me back (over a month). Anyway, while I was waiting, I curbed it again. So I repaired the rash again and painted with Einszett Silber again. I wish I could find a paint that matched.

That's around the going price per wheel.. If they include straightening, remount & balancing, extra plus for that price.
