    Product Page

We are having a clearance sale on a small quantity of our CPS front mount radiator systems for $300 off of the retail price. Each unit is fully functional and pressure tested for leaks. The system comes with all hoses, clamps, brackets, etc to bolt directly to B8 chassis vehicles. For B8.5 chassis vehicle compatibility, 3/4th inch hose and couplers, which are purchasable at auto parts stores, must be routed from one side of the cooler to the other.

The system retailed for $999.99, and is available on clearance for $699.99.

    What does it do?

The factory supercharger cooling system uses air-to-water heat exchangers to cool the hot supercharged air before it enters the engine. Hot air kills power, so cooling it is extremely important. When the supercharged air passes over the heat exchangers, heat is removed, and transferred to a coolant circuit. The hot coolant is pumped to a radiator on the front end of the vehicle where it’s chilled by air rushing through the grilles on the front end of the car, before being pumped back through the supercharger again.

Unfortunately, the factory radiator is tiny and ineffective. It does a poor job of reducing the coolant temperature at higher power levels, and needs to be upgraded. The APR Coolant Performance System (CPS) Radiator is 138% larger, and far more effective at cooling. This results in cooler coolant entering the supercharger, cooler air entering the engine, and more power for longer periods of time.

Making room for the new CPS units. Can't go wrong with any system that outperforms the stock cooler.

I'm not buying anything extra until the new release comes out. That being said, a new Cooling upgrade might be required for the new release, since so much power for the OEM unit might be too much. I just rather wait for the full release before buying anything.

+1. If APR is doing as comprehensive of an analysis as they say they are, then I'm waiting for the information before buying anything new....

With the Expected Minimum of 450 AWHP, I am more excited than ever about a new modification. I'll save every penny until the release.

Arin from APR just said it works with the new release....so like I said earlier, more power will definitely require extra cooling properties for the supercharged engine. Too much heat. So while this may contribute to the new release, I rather see all that is going to be required first, and then plan accordingly.

Right - works with is not always equal to optimal though. It should be pretty obvious by now that they've re-designed their cooling kit for the B8/8.5 S4 - and with a new power kit, they likely did this because they figured out a way to get even more cooling.

Whenever Apple release a new phone, they brag about how much more battery life it has over the previous model. APR is likely to do the same with cooling performance/temps.

You're absolutely right. I'm sure something new is in the works. Then again, APR stopped selling their cooling units early on. I tried getting pricing on one when I got my S5 to Stage 2, but they told me it wasn't available anyone, but to consider possibly AWE Tuning's ColdFront system.
Either way, whatever they require us to buy, as long as it's not $9000 like the Stage 3 Supercharger Swap, I might consider it.
