In for the 25th. Not around for the 2nd or 15th. 2nd is the weekend of H20 and I'm going to a friend's wedding the 15th.

There's been some interest expressed about possibly doing a kanc run...will depend on what weekend we pick and if it's peak leaf-peeking season or not

Not being a native NE'er or even American I had to look up foliage drives (on orders from my indoor chairman) and tbh the only way to get her on board and guess what...she suggested the Kanc run- so now that I have 'papers' I am up for more than one meet as long as 'she' gets her foliage run.

Haha!! The 25th is her indoors birthday, I think I can probably rule that out, but would like to go on my first run.

Might I be extremely nosy and ask where the non native hails from, as I am in the same boat, so to speak!

Foliage run should be better in October barring weird drought related colors coming out in the next few weeks. Can we pin down a date? I may be relegated to Columbus day weekend for car activities and which could mean an avantoberfest cruise instead...

Have to agree with Bassler on this one - might make sense to do a Kanc run later in October.

I'm still down for the 25th if there's a decent amount of people that would meet up.

I just got back from Bartlett this friday (the 16th) and the leaves hard started turning pretty good, all the places up there are estimating two weeks for the peak foliage timing, so if your looking for peak time the 2nd is what youd wanna shoot for. It was getting down to 40-high 30's at night with 70 degree days so the colors are extremely vibrant already (hardcore bright reds) and its gonna end up making one of the best peeping seasons for the last few years.

Not sure how busy it'll be as it was completely dead for me but that's cause we went after back to school and before peeping season lol

The 25th will still look good with a good amount of green still mixed in, the 16th may be alittle later on the spectrum and will just end up with more muddled colors and trees having already lost their leaves, from how the weather was going while I was up there, and how the trees went from not a single one changed to about 15-20% changed in the matter of a week, I would agree that two weeks will be peak/optimal timing

Definitely going back up with the wife just to go drive that area for a day so would definitely be interested in doing it with a group of us, we were planning on doing it either the 1st, or the 8th though as that is when peak should be

PS keep an eye on the white mountain leaf reporting on their website I think and youll be able to know peak timing

UPDATE- I'm definitely up for next weekend...i've even managed to convince the boss that for her birthday we should take a run on that highway and find a hotel and stay overnight. Bingo!! She's down!
So if the Kanc Highway is the chosen route I will rendez vous with you guys on the Sunday and travel back to Boston that evening!

I'll keep my eye out for any later runs that take place, the 25th is a big birthday for my wife and I dont think excusing myself from the family cook out would go down too well.

there is a large cruise, not audi specifically but mixed, for charity on Oct 23rd that I'll be going to. it's $25 and includes a swag bag as well
