Instructions say it has a 6mth shelf life.....I think this kit may have missed the boat.

Looks like you are correct with the shelf life. I'm gonna leave it up for someone who wants to experiment maybe. Make me an offer. Everything is still sealed in the kit.

I just got a kit of a different color and inside the box it has an insert that says it's a 24 month shelf life and the born on day should be listed on the back of your box. And then according to the FAQ on the manufacturers website they state 18 months. Further, the expiration is not on the paint but rather the reactor fluid that's in a separate bottle. So it may be possible if it is past these dates that they'll sell you a new reactor bottle if it has already hardened. It states that if the reactor fluid is still in a liquid state then it's still good.

The FAQ also states that the expiration used to be 6 months but has been extended since they added a better vacuum seal on the reactor bottle. So basically just open it and see if the reactor still swishes around.
