Help connecting Trans lines to new radiator ?

I was installing a new radiator in my 2004 Audi a4 1.8t and was having a hard time getting the two aluminum trans lines to sync up and go into the radiator.

These are the two on the passenger side that appear to press in with Orings and are held in place with an allen bolt and tab.

Is there a trick or something I am missing here.. I have them bolted up but they stop at the Oring....

What did I screw up...

i had a near impossible time with these. check the angle in which you are putting them in, they need to be exactly flush. i even had a post about this as well.

eventually a master mechanic friend manhandled them into their spots, but we considered using a large c-clamp type setup to push it in as well.

Lube the orings with a little oil or grease before assembly. You're fighting rubber on plastic traction.

Thank you... I am a pretty good mechanic and engineer and generally like working on the Audi as the way it is designed... but this one got me..

There are better ways to make this connection... Audi...

Will go back and try again later.
