Question about 98 a4 avant v6 auto awd

I found a 98 A4 for sale. it has sport package auto trans 90,000mi. The seller wants $2500. It needs new secondary air injector and new springs. I want to counter with $1500. I ve never owned an Audi and have heard mix feelings in terms of reliability and maintenace. I have a 2010 TDI sportwagon that i'm probably going to have bought back, although i really love the car. Does sound like a good buy or is this a model/year to avoid. Thanks

Check in the B5 forums. Secondary air pump and springs are not that expensive, if that is all it requires and you do the labor yourself. Maybe have a local shop do a once over as well to make sure there are not any other gremlins in there.
