Check out the first post in my build thread (link in sig). Pretty early on I did the J-code mod and listed all the DIYs I followed. Should be everything you need.

I'm actually wayyyy ahead of these steps, I'm literally trying to break down the lights all the way to the projectors and LED curve. I want to take the LED's and projectors from my ecodes and put them in my OEM housings because then I'll have the auto-level functionality back.

When I had mine apart I saw screws behind the reflector to remove it. I didn't go that far but I hope that helps

There are at least 8 that I've found.

There has to be another one somewhere

Tried to take it apart myself just for fun. Almost got the led strip off, but somewhere "in the middle" its stuck. I would guess there is a tab somewhere. Also tried to take out the whole thing where you put the xenon light out from the back but that dident work either. So i guess it must go from the front.
I did this with a broken headlight so i wasent really gentle when trying to do this. And even then i couldent do it :)

Someone sold parts from a headlight in the classifields few weeks/months ago. Try ask him.

edit: feel free to remind me on monday(going away over the weekend) and i can try it again. Ill even break it to see how everything sits if needed.
