I just thought I'd share.... Couldn't take that slow car anymore after an 09ish Altima with pipes pulled on me the other day! Hopefully this will turn it into a great DD. I saw the dyno's the other guy posted. It was a little lower than what I thought it would be. Maybe the B8.5 will be a few more HP.

So there is stage 1.... and then stage two needs hardware. I am aware the DP and HFC are two different components- my q is if i were to purchase o34 HFC and tune can i go stage 2? or... is RSW (nearest/best speed shop) need DP AND HFC aka Apr product to complete stage 2?

if confusing (Cause im at work mashing the keyboard- can i go stage 2 with HFC from o34 or do i need the dfp/hfc from apr )

There is a long thread about your exact question somewhere. My recommendation is that if you don't currently have software or hardware to just do APR everything since you save $150 on the flash for stage 2 if you buy their downpipe system.

Well I can say as everyone knows, the power difference is great. Pulls stronger and longer lol (yes that's what she said). The sound Is just right. It has a nice throaty sound when you get on it but you can't even tell when you're cruising at 80. I'll strap the go pro to the trunk later and run under an overpass.

Yeah... Definitely makes the stock exaust sound pretty cool... Just a little more tone... Tho my stock one is coming off tmw for the awe quads to go on...

I have 034 HFC and APR stg 2... they have a specific selection on a drop down menu for a non APR downpipe during the tune procedure. I am unaware of the difference this creates inside the ecu file. But as Papachristou alluded to "Pulls stronger and longer", my stg 2 is extremely torquey down low for DDing... fwiw.

Yasou Papachristou, you're gonna love it. Congrats! Nice to see you again on the B8 side.

So my quest began for a few reasons:
    1) Dont like hearing a ricey engine no offense to some of the guys who have put some work in to their exhaust- i think majority dont sound good so less sound = better IMO - from this mod
    2) I cant see how the apr hardware at $750 vs the o34 @ $340 would make much a difference performance wise (DD'ing) as well as i dont see how it would be more cost effective.(i am going from 0 tune to stage2.. in such a scenario)

Yes you're right in that it can't be a huge difference but you have to pay $150 extra for the stage 2 flash unless you buy the APR downpipe plus it includes a mid pipe so it's a lot closer in price than what you're thinking.

A4s definitely don't sound ricey. I was concerned with that on my last B6 too . It had test pipe and cat back neuspeed and was very throaty. Everyone thought it was a v6 that didn't know ) debadged).

The B8 sounds very similar to this just not as loud.

The gesi hfc cat that apr uses really tunes the sound very well...
Really no need for that mid pipe resonator!...
