    Exhaust? fuel pump? burp/fart noise

So this noise has been intermittent for about 6 months. Sometimes it feels like it's been weeks since I hear it and then it comes back. I'll keep better track of when I hear it (cold start vs after 30-45 min drive). I have noticed that the noise will sometimes continue for about 3-5sec after about turning off car. I don't feel any rough idling or reduced performance. I've tried doing some research but all I come up w/ are some custom exhaust threads. My car; A4 Quattro 3.0 w/ stock exhaust.

Given the unique sound, I'm hoping someone recognizes it and provides some insight. Note: Noise is more noticeable while listening through headphones.
    Thanks!

Sounds like maybe the exhaust might be making contact with something.

I wondered that myself but sometimes it will continue to make that noise 3-5 sec after I shut off engine. It's as if liquid is trapped/leaking/ condensing somewhere exhaust? or near it?

Sorry for lack of detail, but like I said I've kinda lived w/ it as it hasn't affected performance so I haven't really looked into it too much. Now that car is less noisy as a result of a few repairs I'm noticing these old sounds now.
