Dension Bluetooth coding with RNS-E - Help Please!

    Hey Guys,

I recently purchased a dension gateway pro unit and I'm having issues with the bluetooth working with my RNS-E. The RNS-E is showing me "telephone not available" even when bluetooth is coded in. I installed 2015 maps in the nav and updated the system as well. My RNS-E is retrofitted in and was not installed from the factory. VCDS doesnt allow me to communicate with telematics.

I copied my brothers code from his b7 s4 and his coding is as follow; 0309677. He has OEM bluetooth, OEM nav, SAT radio all from factory. When I use the identical coding in my s4, the nav still displays no telephone available. If I do custom coding and add bluetooth coding in, still no bueno. I was told I need to code the dension in as a OEM bluetooth module. All other dension options work, ipod, usb, blutooth audi and my phone also detects the module. I just don't have the calling features working on the RNS-E.

Im stumped. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think you'll get the same calling features directly on the RNS-E with the Dension unit as compared to your brothers all-OEM setup. I think any calls you make would have to be initiated through your phone.

I did quite a bit of searching as I was trying to accomplish the same thing (OEM-like integration with an aftermarket bluetooth unit). It seems like a unit from Kufatec/Fiscon is the only aftermarket device that allows for that kind of integration.
