my bad, cut-and-paste from the wrong tab:

    https://www.audiusa.com/myaudi

    Select Audi Connect Services:

Register/Pick your car, then you should see this:

    Click on map update.

Funny I just did it and saw the same "Service Not Available", but then clicked another Service, and then re-clicked Map Update, and it worked. I'm guessing when they get too much load it says "Service Not Available", so maybe just keep trying until you get it.

It downloads an unrecognizable that's only 8kb in size. It's not working.

It opened on my Mac by double-clicking it, it ran some Java program that does the actual downloading of the maps after you log-in yet again. Maybe you need to install Java?

I tried to install new map update but once I put my sd card it needs erl highlighted.....also tried to connect via USB on my phone but same conclusion. Went to a Audi dealership and they told me be a useful I never initially had it done that it won't work for me....?!?!?!?!?!?! So he told me that it usually takes 3-4 hours for the whole process but will only charge 1 hour....I think know that's full of s@#$!!! So now my question is....

how do I update the mmi navigation myself?
