Door Lock Issue

As title says.



Just purchased a 4.2Q Auto and drivers door is open but the fob is not working at all but if i get in and close the door and use the Lock/Unlock button on the door panel the locks al most double click and wont pop the poppers up... any idea's?



The doors wont open even trying the handles from the inside.

There's a micro switch built into the door latch, it's a fairly common failure as they get older and will cause the locks to go haywire.

fairly easy to replace? i assume in the drivers door?

Is there anyway to open the doors in the mean time?
