    EPB causing brake shudder?

I've got about 20k miles on my stock brake system, but drive 90% freeway so have less pad/rotor wear than most cars with 5k miles. Its my daily driver, and has no squealing whatsoever.

However, I've been getting increased brake shudder lately. I noticed that it always seems worse the first few stops, then gets smooth after a few harder stops.

I decided to stop using the electronic parking brake (EPB) to see if maybe the pads were leaving uneven deposits due to the high EPB pressure. For the last week without using the parking brake, no more issues, which confirms that there is a relationship between the EPB and my brake shudder.

    Anyone else notice this?

Problem is, my work parking lot is slightly inclined such that if I don't use the parking brake the car kinda rolls a few inches then gets stopped by the transmission in "park". This can't be good, but am I doing serious damage?
2014 S4 DSG, APR stage 2, APR DSG tune, 034 Intake, real dipstick.

Don't know if DSG has a parking pawl or not but I never use tthe parking brake in any car for the 25 years and as a auto tech previously have never seen a car roll in park or a parking pawl broken from parking.
Guess if I parked on a hill that was like 15% gradient or more (like Mt. Vontoux) I would turn it on.
