    07 RS4 - Bluetooth module plug & Module location?

I'm thinking my Bluetooth module has died - its not longer connecting with anything... I have the standard RNS-E. I'm also having a weird battery drain issue that I think is related (pulling the fuse for the radio overall "fixes" the drain issue.

    so I have two questions:
    • On the back of the radio, there are 3 sets of cables - is there one of those bundles that goes to the Bluetooth alone? or are those multi-purpose?
    • Where is the actual Bluetooth module located. I believe its under the passenger front seat - so, I guess the second question is how the hell do you get to it?

I wanted to see if I can just unplug the Bluetooth module from the RNS-e to test.

The module is under the passenger's feet under the carpet in a black plastic box. To test just pull the fuse,

The radio and BT share canbus and audio wires. It's not like the BT unit is plugged into the radio like a CD changer.

Thanks for the info: any idea if the passenger seat needs to be removed to get to the box? The unit is individually replaceable? I'm hoping that my battery drain issue is limited to the bluetooth module.

I've done inline tests with a meter to measure the draw with the fuse in and out. Fuse in and there is a significant draw until the batter is flat. fuse out and its fine. I figured since the radio seems to be working 100% and the bluetooth no longer functions, that could be where the problem is.

I've pulled the radio and re-seated all of the connections.

    any other suggestions?

I have never heard of a battery drain but it's possible. Yes you can just replace that unit. The entire seat must come out. Or just pull the fuse and install this.

Bluetooth with text, USB for ipod and memory sticks AUX with adapter below. full browsing of ipod on cluster.
http://enfigcarstereo.com/DENSION_GWP1AC1.html USB + Bluetooth aux with option for iPod that shows text.
It is strongly recommended that you get the item below with the item above becasue it has a reset button for the few times a year it needs to be rebooted (like a computer)

Must be connected behind the radio so if you are using SiriusXM satillite radio you must get the part below. If you are not listening to satellite radio then the part is not needed.

maybe I'm mistaken - but I didn't think there was a seperate fuse for the bluetooth module. When you pull the fuse, you are killing the radio too... is there a seperate fuse?
