    Hey everyone sorry if there is already a topic about this.

    I saw a white s5 backfiring like crazy! Sounded very good. I managed to stop him and asked what exhaust system did he have on.. he said it was it was straight piped from front to back. He said if I straight piped my 400hp custom tuned 3.0 a6 it would sound exactly the same.. is this true?

    If he had an S5 with the supercharged 6 not the NA V8 and you liked the sound then theoretically yes. Personally in my opinion the 3.0t on A6 is way to raspy to run with a straight pipe, does sound dignified. I tried it (some what) on mine and hated so went

Maybe a muffler delete like other members have done

    Since when does "back firing" sound good? Remember, you are driving a luxury sport sedan. Straight pipes don't fit the car.
    Now a nice exotic sounding exhaust on the other hand is fitting.

    A stage II APR/GIAC tune will take the motor to 400hp at the crank.

    Then 3.0t's with different exhausts.



    I'm assuming these are the same motors.
