    Coolant Temp goes up to 111C* / 231F

    Hey Guys
    Its Tim from Germany

    i have lttle problems with my s4, my water temp goes up to 111C* / 231F ... meassuret via (OBD11 vcds)
    the water temp gauge stays as normal on 90C*
    the front fans are running all the time

    Changed allready the Temp Sensor in front of the SC, but no sucsess

    can you help me ?`

    System is pressurised so boils at a much higher temp than water at atmospheric pressure. Temp gauges are set to ignore fluctuations unless over a certain limit so will stay at 90 until a fair bit higher

    It will get worse as the thermostat continues to fail. When temperatures climb over 250F the dummy temp gauge will start to rise from normal operating position. Be sure to turn the heater on if the thermostat fails completely while driving, it will help keep temps under control.

    Good points. The heater blasting definitely helps.

    OP sounds like tstat. I'd inspect the water pump too. tstat and water pump failed at the same time for me.

    as i know my car has allready the "'updatet" water pumpe

    Sounds like the Stat has gone.
    for reference my water temps are around 94
    Custom stacked chargecooler
