    2007 A4 3.2 Avant joined the family!!

I just picked this up on Saturday. Sorry the pics aren't great, just quickly took them on my phone. It is a s-line auto, in quartz grey with 150K KMs and I'm really enjoying it so far. It does not feel like an almost 10 year old car at all. The car came from a family member so I have all of the service records. Spark plugs and both rear control arms were replaced not to long ago but it looks like the break pads and rotors are about 75K KMs old so I figure I'll have to do those soon. I've noticed a bit of a vibration occurs when I come to a full stop on any sort of incline/decline, if I put the car into N it goes away. So I'm guessing transmission related, could it need a transmission fluid flush? On that topic, are there any other fluid flushes I should be doing at this age? Any other key maintenance items I should be looking to have done right away to make sure the car is good to go?

I appreciate any tips you guys have and I will try and get some better pics up once I give her a good wash!

Assuming its the tiptronic the vibration at idle seems to be "normal".

I have it as well and its way worse due to solid mounts and no balance shafts in my oil pump. Not sure if the 3.2 is any different than the 2.0t in that field though.

Looks nice, wanna give me those headlights? lol Enjoy it!

Yup it's the tiptronic. I assumed it wasn't normal since it doesn't happen all the time. Usually after I've been driving for a bit and typically one I come to stop on some kind of incline or decline. But even be littlest of slopes. Thanks for the info though, perhaps it's something I just have to live with and not "fixed".

Unfortunately I'm pretty happy with the headlights ;)

Does it have a snub mount? If so check that because when mine was out of alignment it did the same thing on any hill. Vibrated like a womens toy lol.

Mine vibrants on stops too. But less during incline. Neutral will be gone. Other members said it's the torque converter only auto transmission suffers

Yeah it has to do with the tiptronic tranny but I am not sure if the 3.2 has the same issues. I would assume its less due to being a more even engine but if its the TC or tranny causing it then you maybe sol unless you want to go through and fix a problem no one else has yet. If the 3.2 has the same tranny as the 2.0t that is.

Thanks guys. I'll probably just keep an eye on it for now since its not all the time and not crazy strong either. See if it gets any worse...

Any other tips for a high mileage A4 that you would have done due to the age?
