    Virtual Dash app for iOS

    Has anyone tested:
DashSketch - Dash Cam, Speed Monitoring, OBD2 & Navigation. by HLS Software
    https://appsto.re/us/f_xZab.i

    Here's a screenshot:

I thought it looked cool and noticed it when searching through the App Store for obd2 apps. Dashcommand and Fusion are lacking in comparison to Torque for Android, so I was looking for something comparable and DashSketch caught my eye. I know it doesn't look useful for logging PIDs, but it looked like a nice virtual dash, somewhat similar to what's offered in newer Audis.

I'm going to contact the developer and see what exactly is supported. I don't want to invest money in an app that can't read data from the obd2 port.

Side note, I'm getting by with a prepaid Moto E to use Torque on Android.

Waiting on my Carista Bluetooth adapter to show up. The app works via Bluetooth so my cheap ELM327 wifi adapter won't work.

I can't get Carista to work over bluetooth. On their website they claim it works via Bluetooth, but in the App Store description it says it only works over wifi. When I try to run the app to connect to anther Bluetooth adapter I have, which matches the specs that Carista developers claim will work, it says it can't find a wifi adapter and there are no options to switch to Bluetooth.

I'm not asking anything, I'm letting this guy know who just ordered. I get where you're coming from, but I disagree it's not relevant directly to what he posted.

Well it will hopefully work for the DashSketch app at least, since there's a toggle for setting up the connection via Bluetooth within the app. If I have issues connecting via Bluetooth in the Carista app, I'll let the Carista developer know.

I'm not too worried about it because I purchased bluedriver which came with the Bluetooth adapter and it does everything I want, Carista claimed to be compatible so I gave it a try in case I wanted to use the pro-mode. No dice. Good luck!

That dash app looks like it has some nice features with a nice GUI, interested how it works out!

Got my invite to beta test Carista, mostly for launch control count. Also, got a response back from HLS on the DashSketch app. I'll have to wait until tomorrow when my adapter arrives to test it all out.

That's a great response and a pretty nice list.
