This will be for sale for one week, and then it's going to Carmax. I don't have time to mess around with it and nowhere to keep it.
I bought the car in Vermont in December 2015 and had a local shop do some work on it before I picked it up. Full front suspension replacement, a new coil pack, oil change, 4 new tires, and probably a few other things i'm forgetting. I picked it up in January 2016, and drove it from Vermont to Georgia over two days without any mechanical issues other than a flickering headlight (bad bulb later replaced)
In Georgia I had some JHM "piggie" downpipes installed.
Then I had a set of powdercoated valve covers installed, along with a JHM Intake Manifold w/ intake spacers. While we were in there I also replaced the oil check valves, PCV, oil pressure sensors, and a few other things.
This is where it got bad. Upon starting the engine back up there was a ticking noise. Not a chain rattle, but an intermittent tick from the block area. Discovered that oil pressure wasn't getting nearly up to where it had to be. Tore it back open and replaced the oil check valves with another set of new ones. Still not getting proper pressure. Decided an oil pump and pickup tube would be the next logical step, so ordered them through Audi, but before we even got them pulled the oil pan and there were some metal in there.
Will post more pictures and full maintenance records of what I've done next week.
Could be something fixable, or it would be a great parts car with lots of recent upgrades on it. Again, I just don't have time to deal with it.
Anyone interested shoot me a PM. I will be home for one week starting tuesday Sept 6th and flying back out early sunday Sept 11th. So deal needs to be done before then.
Asking $6,000 obo. I've got almost $15,000 in this car, but obviously i'm not going to see even half of that.
