Stiffer springs in the rear! Just get the package meant for your car if it's your first coilovers setup.

Be sure to get a MAP torch if you live anywhere with salt on the roads or in the air because that top pinch bolt.... lets just say get a MAP torch.

When i did my suspension i just removed the strut mount and disconnected the control arms from there since I didn't want to mess with the pinch bolt. Sooner or later it will have to be done.

Just to anyone reading don't heat the actual aluminum spindle / knuckle up, as it can melt and or weaken it. Heat the bolt up then hit it back and forth with an impact then try to bust it out from the threaded end. If it still not coming out then you have a pretty seized pinch bolt and you will have to probably soak it in lubricant and break the head off and use the threads to take it out the other end. Oh great this is becoming another pinch bolt thread.

Just changed my upper control arms yesterday, was a two-day project because of those pinch bolts. 231k on my car and the suspension was never touched! Snapped the first one because I didn't use heat, took 3 hours to drill out/pry out the screw. Snapped the second one because God said let this f**ker struggle a little lol. Another 3 hours to drill/pry out the screw. We used propane to heat up the bolts and kept the flame on for at least 20 mins, the only thing that melted was the rubber around the ball joint. Maybe because it was propane that it didn't heat up enough but there wasn't any melting going on.

I think the best thing to ask here is what will you be doing with the car. Tracking it at all? Maybe its just a daily you want to sit lower?

ST makes a great introduction coilover for this car without breaking the bank. Click Here

If I could make a pro con list it would probably be like this:

    Pros
    • Adjustable height
    • adjustable dampening *certian kits*
    • reduction in body roll

    Cons
    • ride can be harsh
    • adjusting height isnt for all
    • price points of some kits

Its actually quite hard to think of reasons to not go coilovers the ride might be a bit harsh and they tend to have a higher cost.

If I can help anyone with suspension products please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Alex
