    Fun with an M5 F10

Had a little fun with an M5 yesterday I thought this will be fun those things are really quick. My mate who has an E63s said he reckoned his wasn't as fast and his car is very fast. I didn't expect to be able to keep up when he put the hammer down.

But honestly he didn't stand a chance. He saw me and lined up to floor it. He put his foot down and I saw the car squat a bit then try and bolt off. This was from 60+.

I did the same and caught him so easily I was tailing him so I let of the gas and feathered the throttle. Don't think he was tuned but there was a bit of black smoke when he booted it.

He tried again a couple of times but before it got silly I backed off. At no point did he come close to leaving me in fact quite the opposite.

Bit of fun for a usually dull Friday drive.

Anyone else had a go against one?
I was expecting so much more. I know if I'd kept going I'd have smashed him

If that car is 560-580bhp mine must be way more because it wasn't even a battle

Haven't had a chance to line up with an M yet but I have smashed on new SRT8's, SS, GT's and a vette. I'm tuned (stage 1) so there was no competition from the start. It's funny though because these younger guys will pull up to me thinking they'll take out my "family sedan" only to get obliterated. Sometimes their GF's have a front row seat next to them. I can only imagine the look on their faces afterwards haha!

    Fun with an M5 F10

I test drove several M5s before buying my S6. Was not impressed at all with the performance. It felt very big, turbo lag is significant. The Dinan tuning with factory warranty is nice. Can't get over how bad the interior and electronics are. Audi wins hands down in all categories. Would love to go against one with mine.

I test drove an F10 about a year or so before getting my S6. Didn't really consider buying it cause I needed something other then RWD. Hard to recall all the sensations during that very spirited test drive, but I think the steering feel and handling was probably better then the S6 I now own. Getting alu kruz and sway bars, end links in a few weeks, the mod bug has arrived.

Add 15mm spacers to widen the track. It makes a big difference to the handling.

    I'm always around F10s and F13s m5/m6.

They're fast man idk if that guy was pushing it. They pretty much pull on me, not by much but they do.
I coded Euro MDM on one and boy does that thing go now. From a dig and 1-2 shift are extra hard.

I couldn't keep up a stock f10 m5 with my stage 2 s6. Ms are pretty quick in a straight line.

Really? That's what I expected too . Stage 2 though and you couldn't keep up. A stock rs6/7 will muller a stock M5 as seen on YouTube. So either you're stage 2 isn't making the power advertised and doesn't come close to an RS6/7 which in that case swap your tune or he wasn't stock. My stock s6 avant which is way heavier than an m4 crushed it so easily. I'd like to bump in to one again and see what happens but he seemed to be going for it and I caught him easily.

I'm tuned that's why. Do you still have the s4 or have you moved to an s6? Stick a tune on then try. I wouldn't expect to keep with one if I was stock

How you liking so far. The comfort and ride quality is way beyond my s4 I think. Torque isn't that great stock you can tell they detuned it. Wait till you get a tune I did mine around 2,000 miles. I don't get how that other guy struggled against one when he is stage 2

I love it so far, I'm itching to tune but I want to make sure everything is fine with the car before I do. I'm probably going to do a few comparisons with f10s but knowing these guys they'll throw a jb4 before I even know it.

Glad you're enjoying the car. I've debadged mine now so it's a proper sleeper. Wait till you experience the increased torque it's nuts

A stage 1 tune will unleash the beast. I may give stage 2 a go in the next year or so. It's always fun to watch these hot rods on my rear view mirror..."a sleeper sedan just smoked you, boyeeeee!".

I'm looking at the same. Apparently milltek soon to be releasing downpipes that connect to the stock exhaust

Has anybody decatted the downpipes? Any issues with SAI and AFR?

    Fun with an M5 F10

I have some friends who has m5 and M6 and they never admit that s6 is much faster even if you challenge them. We had the nice ride the other day and we were going way above 150mph
Of course it's not a big difference like old s6 v10 and that v10 m5/6 (the old s6 was mistake car) but those bemers were much slower than my s6. I was even surprised that 4door sedan can make 185 mph with such a comfort
    You can't even tell.

Ok that confirms it for me then. 150+ yikes thats prison time in the UK. I was expecting a real fight but it wasn't I think had i not let off I'd have destroyed him. They are sleepers though the M5 quad exhaust is the only real give away. Thanks dude great to hear
