can a H7 HID work as a ADS cornering light ?

    Hey guys,

I'm thinking about trying those xtreme-vision 5k from philips D3S main beam, but would like to have a matching set of bulb for the ADS cornering bulb H7-55w. I do feel guilty of starting a thread for that, but search function is useless for keyword of 3 or less letters, so anything like H7 and ADS won't bring any result..

Most cornering light seems to have an output of 3.4 to 4k, from what i've been able to find so far.

And most of these bulb have a lifespan of 400hours, but most reviews seems to point out they can die after 6 months.. So I'm thinking, should I go for a HID H7 kit instead ?! would it still work or throw a code ? I know the FOG are halogen and heck they respond well to a HID kit.

ohhh !! Those are the fog light, I already have LED Fanless fog and they are perfectly fine. I'm talking about the H7 ADS adaptive cornering light bulb :)

I think I will just got with the xtreme vision PLUS as these provide an extra 130% output at 3.7k Vs. the other white vision at 60% output at 4.1k. I suppose the oem must be around 3.4k and they still look white to me, so i rather have better output than a little more white.

Does yours fade out? My wife's cornering system in her car is instant on but fades out. Given the short duration of on time the hid would strike and never fully warm then shutdown. You would drastically shorten the hid system life span and may even have flicker when it shuts off.
