My trunk key hole arms the alarm and the driversdoor key hole doesn't

Ever since I got my car the 2 fobs buttons didn't work. I wasn't able to program them either I tried I could think of. I may just need a vag com to program the fobs so I posted in my regional forums to find one I could use.

What happens when I turn my key in my drivers door is that it opens my door no beep but when I use the trunk to lock it it does beep and when I arm it from the trunk and it beeps and the red lights start flashing on the inside locks and I open the drivers door it doesn't disarm the alarm so the alarm goes off when I get inside.

With all of this going on does anyone have a clue what it could be? I remember I had an a4 before this and I believe it did the same thing but I fixed it without replacing anything.

What would happen if I unhooked my battery overnight? Anyone know a fix?

Please don't insult me. I've had enough. Only post here if you'd like to help.

You can't program a key fob with a vag com. You'll need 2 fobs. One in the ignition and 1 in the drivers door. Seems strange. I wonder if the micro switch in the door is broken or there's a wiring issue. Check the plugs between the doors to see if they are all intact. It might come down to having to pull the door apart and taking a look.

Switch in the door latch is bad or unplugged. Blame New Jersey if it is unplugged
There are only 2 things needed to make an Audi work properly - Duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should - WD40.

Once you get the flash wait 10 seconds and click unlock again, doors should unlock and it's programmed
