Wasn't expecting this to work but it did so dropping it here. Took a lot of dremeling, utility knife and plastic putty adhesive, so in hindsight not sure I'd recommend it but...you can get the a3/s3 ashtray delete mod to work w/ a b6.

Ironic thing is that I smoke, but no way I'd ash in the car. I've got the double din, if you had the single din you'd gain some decent space. More than anything I like the reveal it makes with the shifter trim

    More goodies coming

Heh thanks, Alpine 265bt. I'm old skool and prefer solid buttons on my radio. Only wish it had a rear USB port.

Next up is a SSD in the dash cupholder slot.

I appreciate your work, and it looks good. Even though I don't use my ashtray for anything, IMO it doesn't flow well. I like that oem look I guess...

Ashtray cover wasn't sitting flush with the shifter trim and was driving me nuts.

Not sure if anyone tried this yet, realized the dash cupholder is exactly the size of a sata SSD I ripped out of an old laptop. Even slides in and out on the OEM tray gear. Never running out of music now
