    Removing Dash Trim

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Gang,
Any advice before I start removing my dash trim from S7? I'm most concerned about the upper trim, the one near the HUD. Does it all just pop off, or do you have to take it more apart than I'm thinking. I've STFA, but haven't had much luck looking for what I need.

    Thanks for the help,
    Scott

I had all of my trim replaced a couple months ago. That upper trim is a bitch to R&R based off of conversations with the shop that did my install. I saw some of the trim removal while the work was being done. The A pillar panels have to be removed, as well as the dash needed to be pulled forward. I'll check with the tech and ask for clarification. Not an easy job for sure. Keep in mind the trim is so expensive, that you don't want to break any of the pieces by trying to cut corners. My parts alone were 3800.

Thanks! That's what I was afraid of. The rest seem to pop right off.

Just to follow up, this process is not for the weak of fortitude on an S7. Many of the parts bolt to surrounding pieces. I'm taking pictures as I go. DO NOT ASSUME THEY ALL SNAP IN.
