Just picked up a white 2016 Q5 Premum Plus with Tech

Hello Everybody,

Excited to say I got my first German car yesterday. My previous car was a '13 Acura RDX AWD Tech. Loved the car when I had it but unfortunately due to circumstances out of my hand the car got totaled. Long story short, Car got hit by lightning and computer system got fried and became totaled. It's been an hectic search trying to find out what my next car was going to be. My two choices ended up being a Q5 and a X4. All the x4's I found were all out of budget and those that weren't were weird color combos. I don't regret my Q5 at all. It drives so much better than my last. I need your guys help on what mods to do??? I want to definitely change the grill. I plan on changing all the lights to LED's too. Also, has anybody figured out a way to extend the cord in the glove? I couldn't find a direct answer on this. And does anybody know where I can get all season matts from? Do you recommend the weather tech over OEM?

As far as glove box goes, get a wireless Bluetooth adapter for that. Easiest thing ever to use. And you never have to go in there at all.

Thanks. I've read a lot of people saying that but would it work the same as having the car regularly connected to bluetooth. Or would it function the same as my phone physically being plugged into the AMI?

Weathertechs are nice, I recommend them

As far as the glove plug you wouldn't need the Bluetooth adaptor because you can connect the phone through the car Bluetooth. You would only need an extension to charge.

As far as the pics you need to use an image hosting site like photobucket or imagur.

If you get tapatalk easy to upload pics . And weathertech fronts are nice but the rears suck assssss mines are almost all crumpled up in the rears.
Spend cpl days in the forum searching for your right mod list. Many good help in here

Congrats!

For your phone charger, just get a USB car charger (Monster Mobile 600 USB Charger) and put it in the arm rest. You can run the cable from there with the arm rest down. Bluetooth is the easiest way to play music from your phone. I also have an MMI USB adapter (4F0051510AB) that I put in the glovebox and attached a 750GB USB drive through it which has all my music plus movies and TV shows for the kid.

For mods, the easiest ones are to start out with are some VCDS ones. Here's the list I've done: VCDS Mods List.

There's also a thread with a summary of mods members have here: Q5 and SQ5 Mods List. Lots of ideas for how to waste money in there!
