Im wondering whether others have used the oem non-sport bump stops and dust covers with a b8 suspension strut from bilstein. Was any trimming required, and if so, how much?

I just ended up cutting two inches from a stock suspension setup.

Yes yes you do need them, it says so on the product literature. I have sports suspension so I didn't cut anything off. Coincidentally, I am installing them right now :)

I have the solo-werks coilovers and for the rears it says to use the OEM and the front use what they provide for bumpstops. Confused to as why they used 2 different ones but eh.

Anyway I would recommend it if possible, may as well keep them as clean as possible and you don't want to kill your brand new strut :D
